Even though she saw this coming it's not easy to deal with when reality hits!
And thus did Next declare war on reality itself...
I...think we're still ok. That looks like the atmosphere is still escaping. There is still time for rescue, right? View? Please?
It's the pressure change that's lethal, I believe. It seems to be a pretty big station, so it's gonna take a while for all the atmosphere to stream out, but by the time fluids start flash boiling, you're looking at severe decompression effects and asphyxiation. :(
Although breaking the other interior window would re-pressurize the room if a bulkhead does indeed seal the exterior breach.
man, I hope they're not dead. Please don't let them be dead.

...I think they're dead. Man, I hope I'm wrong.

(Just wanted to mention, View, your work is jaw-droppingly amazing. Between Space Pulp and Never Mind the Gap, I don't think I've ever seen an artist pull off what you're doing. please, please keep it up.)
The velocity of the volume
inversely limits
the scrutiny of the detail...
His(?) grasp of the erotic is remarkable, but more remarkable is the ability to integrate such material seamlessly into the overall narrative. and damn, what a narrative.

View, have you got an email address or something you can be reached at? I'd like to pick your brain on how you handle art for these projects.
I prefer to talk in the comments sections or via ComicFury PM, because I don't check my art email very often.

What we need is some couch ex mechina to make sure everyone turns out ok!
Let's ask an Astrophysicist!

"How would the unprotected human body react to the vacuum of outer space?"

"If you don't try to hold your breath, exposure to space for half a minute or so is unlikely to produce permanent injury. Holding your breath is likely to damage your lungs, something scuba divers have to watch out for when ascending, and you'll have eardrum trouble if your Eustachian tubes are badly plugged up, but theory predicts -- and animal experiments confirm -- that otherwise, exposure to vacuum causes no immediate injury. You do not explode. Your blood does not boil. You do not freeze. You do not instantly lose consciousness.

Various minor problems (sunburn, possibly "the bends", certainly some [mild, reversible, painless] swelling of skin and underlying tissue) start after ten seconds or so. At some point you lose consciousness from lack of oxygen. Injuries accumulate. After perhaps one or two minutes, you're dying. The limits are not really known."
I'm sure you didn't intend to come off as a self-absorbed cock desperately trying to show off behind a smug anonymous handle, but I have to say that this post really casts you in the worst possible light.

I established that this would happen in-story. The physics is established as being like this. Just as with teleportation, future sight, and people who can throw balls of lightning around, the decompression icing was established in story as a canon part of my universe's physics.

But the number of liberties I've carefully established means nothing: you saw an opportunity to show off and you took it!
As someone who has been pissing View off for literal years I would highly advise against this kind of comment.

Btw, Did I ever apologize for being such a Putz?
I'm prickly but forgetful. I don't even remember that you did something.

It couldn't have been very bad. None of my audience has ever posted anything that's really enraged me. If the worst I get is people showing off by trying to discredit artistic license, I'm getting off pretty lucky.
View, please don't be upset. I apologize that I pissed you off.

Of course I recognize that Isis fate is clearly established and foreshadowed (the dialog with RR). And I understand that Iris kiss on DKs helmed was her "Farewell"-scene.

And my different Pseudonyms are just my style of humor. I almost always do that on blogs and Image-boards. No harm intend, just habit.
Sorry, cutesy anonymous handles really annoy me on the best of days. Can't build a community on cutesy ever-shifting handles.

I'm only a bit upset, I'll have forgotten in an hour. It's hard to convey "moderately annoyed for the next ten minutes" in text.

Especially when I specialize in bitter tirades!
Best thing to do to make View happy again is get a proper name, and start paying attention to the comic, on the comics own terms for the sake of reading a story and just enjoy what he cranks out. :)

It has it's ups and downs, sure, but all comics do.
And every now and then View even gives us ... "extended fanservice" ... you know, porny stuff ! :D
Considering that we were told that this is the moment DK was born for, I'm guessing both he and Iri are going to die. Iri I kind of understand since this is what she's been building to. Why she wouldn't let Next come with. Why she couldn't see any future for herself beyond that. Why she shut off her third port. But on the other hand I really hope DK lives. It seems like he's been lampshaded up until this point so him getting knocked off won't really mean anything. As in he'd probably be protrayed the bumbling idiot in this scenario in retellings over actually having credit to what he helped with.

View has done 'twists' before though. So it's possible they will survive to some extent. Being biomides and all.

Also any plans for the next project? Will it be Lem? Or taking a break?
Yeah, Iri seems to have been scheming for a while, and cultivating DK and Riot for their end game roles, so I would not be surprised if her "meat shield of choice" isn't quite done just yet.

Besides, Shaire would probably enjoy it if DK survives. :)

As far as breaks go, I suspect View will probably take a small break after the comic, to switch gears between projects if nothing else.

But if the last switch is anything to go by, that break could be short indeed!

Also, he hasn't called the Lem story as "canceled" yet, so that seems the most plausible one so far.
oh, hey, and it occurs that the title can mean both "hush" and represent the sound of all that sweet, life-giving oxygen rushing out the window...
Maybe some .. Maybe none!

This could be the end!

... or maybe there's still time for tea and cupcakes. :)
